    Eligibility Criteria for Pilot Program

    The following are the requirements you need to be eligible for the Atlantic Immigration program:

    • Possess a relevant professional background, or sufficient work experience (it does not apply to candidates who are international graduates, and who have done their secondary education in Atlantic Canada).
    • If you are applying to designated employers then you must have experience of a minimum of two years, with a minimum of 1,560 hours, which means you must work 30 hours per week.
    • Educational requirements should be met
    • Language proficiency is needed
    • Provide enough proof of funds to prove your financial stability
    • The foreign worker must have an endorsement certificate to apply for permanent residence.
    • Foreign workers seeking a work permit must have a referral letter issued by the employer of the province.
    • Employers who are assisting with work permit applications must register with the federal employer portal, submit a job offer, and pay a compliance fee.

    How to Get a Job Offer at Atlantic Pilot Program

    To apply for the job, offer the international graduate or skilled worker must be eligible for the program.

    Your designated employer will offer you employment in the form of a foreign national. You must ensure that you:

    • Meet the National Occupational Classification (NOC) employment requirements;
    • Eligible for the immigration category chosen by your employer with a job offer – intermediate-skilled, high-skilled, or international graduate programme;
    • Keep a copy of the Offer of Employment to a Foreign National form. You must also collaborate with your service provider organisation to complete your settlement plan and PR Visa application.
