An important step in the admission process for graduate or business schools is the Graduate Record Examinations or GRE. The GRE is a computer-based, multiple-choice worldwide exam that is typically required for admission to MBA and graduate programs.
The GRE was developed and made available by test creator ETS so that graduate and business institutions may compare applicants’ credentials and readiness for graduate-level academic work.
To determine if you are prepared for the demands of graduate academic work, graduate admissions committees and business school admissions committees look at your GRE score, academic record, and supporting documents. The only GRE subject tests that are offered are in chemistry, mathematics, physics, and psychology.
It’s common knowledge that the GRE’s verbal reasoning portion is a vocabulary test. The comprehension problems, however, call for strong reading and analytical abilities. You can see the vocabulary level on our wordlists, which comprise words that have been used on the GRE.
A 10th-grade student should be able to understand the degree of math knowledge. Some of the questions require the interpretation of data. Students completing the computer-based test are given an onscreen calculator. Students taking the paper-based exam are given a calculator at the test location.

GRE Eligibility: Regardless of age or qualifications, anyone can register for the GRE test, there are no specific requirements to apply for the GRE. Candidates seeking master’s programs, on the other hand, must take the GRE. The only other consideration for a candidate is that he or she will be required to present their original passport as evidence of identification at the exam centre, so applicants must have a valid passport before registering for the GRE. Note: Candidates should be aware that beginning July 1, 2021, they will be able to use their Aadhar Card as part of their identity evidence during the GRE registration process.
