Canada’s Provincial Nominee Program offers an opportunity for candidates to ficilate the process of migration. According to this program participating areas are permitted to nominate a pre-decided number of immigration aspirants annually. These nominated candidates are eligible for applying for Permanent Residence in Canada. This dynamic program keeps evolving according to the demand of the hour. The introduction of the new multi – year immigration level plan has further boosted its effectiveness.
There are two types of Provincial nomination: the base nomination and the enhanced nomination. The enhanced nomination works in tandem with Canada’s Express Entry system that deals with applicants of three vital categories of immigrants: the Federal Skilled worker class, the Federal Skilled Trade Class, and the Canadian Experience class.
Applicants with both Express Entry and enhanced provincial nomination receive an additional 600 points to decide their ranking score. This in effect speeds up their eligibility to apply for permanent residence in Canada.
Though the base nomination category is excluded from this Express Entry, candidates in this category are also eligible to apply for permanent residence. However, the process takes a longer time for them.
