Getting Started: Eligibility & Process Guide

A brand-new immigration initiative led by the local communities is the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). By paving the way for skilled foreign workers who want to live and work in Thunder Bay and Area to obtain permanent residency, it aims to spread the advantages of economic immigration to smaller towns. The program’s goal was to bring the advantages of economic immigration to localities outside of the nation’s major metropolises.

The purpose of the program is to influence skilled workers for obtaining permanent residences in a particular region. The program provides an opportunity for the communities to work directly with employers along with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
